Recovering from injury is the best right?  2 miles at 6:40 pace.  Slight pain in knee but making great progress.  I keep saying that, and this time it's for real.  Two months of hard training ahead.  Praying I recover fully and stay away from injury.  No more 50 milers until I'm ready! :)

My bro told me to get this blog.  I'm sure you all know him.  Ryan Raff.  4:16 miler.  Junior in High School.  #Beast

Welcome to the blog. I have followed your brother through his high school running. He is a great competitor, who will be able to run at the next level if he decides he wants that. Hopefully your injury will not hamper your training too much. Just listen to your body, if it needs rest it will tell you. Is your plan to train and do Boston this year? I have decided to do it again this year. I have a couple of people running it this year. Maybe as your training gets going we could get a group together for a long run. Train consistant is the key, but knowing when to rest may be even more important. Good Luck

4 miles at 6:55 pace.  Faster each mile.  Workin my way up slowly but surely.

4 miles at 6:36 pace.  Faster each mile.  Still not able to go every day..  Recovery is going slowly but surely.

4 miles total.  2 One mile repeats at 6:00 pace.  Felt good to get some speed in again (speed for me right now is a 6 minute mile :).

Did a little snowshoeing for some cross training.  8ish miles.  I was hiking on a road covered in snow cuz the roads are all blocked off.. It was great though!  Saw some half eaten deer along the way too.

Started off the day with some swimming (my attempt to breathe and stay afloat would be a better way to describe it).  I WILL finish an ironman in the years to come.

3 mile run at 6:23 pace.  I'd say my knee felt the best it has since the 50 miler.  Making progress.
